Debut Fest 2026: The Deformation of Dinnertime

Dinner is served! Experience an artistic installation depicting the evolution of the family’s former gathering place, brought to life through an evening meal.

Today’s menu features processed and contactless food, devoid of nourishment, care, or human presence. With the dinner table as the focal point, the human presence in the Western world is called into question. 

"The Deformation of Dinnertime" is a classic evening meal, served wrapped in plastic from head to toe. A stark parallel to the invisible layers of distance between people. 

Debut Fest is Copenhagen’s festival for emerging art and new talent. The festival brings together debuting artists across various art forms and gives the audience the opportunity to experience Copenhagen’s new voices up close. 

This year, you can enjoy a total of 36 different acts over two days when Debut Fest takes over the Brønshøj Water Tower and the Kildevæld Cultural Center on September 4 and 5.
