Debut Fest 2026: Better to rust than to fade

Experience *Better to Rust Than to Fade*, a raw and feminine sculptural textile installation that explores longing and the unresolved. 

"Better to Rust Than to Fade" explores the feeling of being so trapped in a sense of longing that the emotion borders on the destructive; Longing for something that is already gone and refusing to let go. The work invites the audience to reflect on their own experiences with healing and encourages an emotional recognition of loss and stubbornness.  

Debut Fest is Copenhagen’s festival for emerging art and new talent. The festival brings together debuting artists across various art forms and gives the audience the opportunity to experience Copenhagen’s new voices up close. 

This year, you can enjoy a total of 36 different acts over two days when Debut Fest takes over the Brønshøj Water Tower and the Kildevæld Cultural Center on September 4 and 5.
