Debut Fest 2026: Family Shows

"Family Performances" is an installation of collages and video that forms a playful and humorous (divorce) family album.

Through role-playing and character development, Thea Tønnesvang explores the image of her own family and her place within it by taking on archetypal family roles and scenes from the family album. The exhibition consists of 22 collages on glass and in frames, and a video work.

Debut Fest is Copenhagen’s festival for emerging art and new talent. The festival brings together debuting artists across various art forms and gives the audience the opportunity to experience Copenhagen’s new voices up close. 

This year, you can enjoy a total of 36 different acts over two days when Debut Fest takes over the Brønshøj Water Tower and the Kildevæld Cultural Center on September 4 and 5.
