Debut Fest 2026: CONFESS!

CONFESS! is a performative sound ritual about the unspoken, the repressed, and the mysterious. Through sound, text, and audience participation, an electronic concert, spoken word, installation art, and the confessional merge into a sensory, emotional, and collective experience—one that might just make you want to CONFESS? 

CONFESS! explores themes such as grief, longing, shame, guilt, love, emotional vulnerability, female rage, and physical experiences—and seeks to externalize both subconscious and silent longings, while also articulating more direct and uncomfortable statements that often remain suppressed. 

Debut Fest is Copenhagen’s festival for emerging art and new talent. The festival brings together debuting artists across various art forms and gives the audience the opportunity to experience Copenhagen’s new voices up close. 

This year, you can enjoy a total of 36 different acts over two days when Debut Fest takes over the Brønshøj Water Tower and the Kildevæld Cultural Center on September 4 and 5.
