Debut Fest 2026: angerlarsimaffissamik nanisineq / إيجاد السكن / at finde hjem / finding home

The four-language title of a series of photographs that explores navigating the diaspora; being at home but not feeling at home; and how we find a sense of home in one another through the connection between the Palestinian and Inuit struggles for freedom.

For this year’s Debut Fest, Aseel Charkie, Benita Minka, and Nina Sikkersoq invite you to join a conversation about what it means to find a home through solidarity. Drawing on traditions from both Kalaallit Inuit and Palestinian cultures, they will foster a sense of community in the struggle for belonging, the struggle for freedom, and the struggle to find a home.

Debut Fest is Copenhagen’s festival for emerging art and new talent. The festival brings together debuting artists across various art forms and gives the audience the opportunity to experience Copenhagen’s new voices up close. 

This year, you can enjoy a total of 36 different acts over two days when Debut Fest takes over the Brønshøj Water Tower and the Kildevæld Cultural Center on September 4 and 5.
