Copenhagen Jazz Festival: The Big Beat
, Østerbro, Melchiors Plads

There’s something about the way Big Beat plays that almost makes the audience think there’s some electronic trickery involved—the sound of an entire orchestra flows from the band, as if they were a full ensemble. But the three—and occasionally four—members’ years of playing together, their ear for good swing, and their mutual creativity are really the only “trick” this band uses.

The combination of musical and collaborative experience, lesser-known numbers with a swing feel, and old favorites played with new energy—gives a Big Beat concert that special atmosphere you can only get from live music.
